03 — Research
Four interconnected lines of inquiry at the meeting point of art, technology and society — each treated as a field for experimentation rather than a fixed discipline.
ALETIS investigates how artists engage with artificial intelligence, computational systems, robotics and emerging technological infrastructures. The organisation supports projects that critically examine the aesthetic, social and political dimensions of technological transformation.
Through interdisciplinary research and public programmes, ALETIS explores how intelligent systems influence contemporary forms of knowledge, agency and social organisation — addressing the social, ethical and cultural implications of these systems.
ALETIS approaches curating as a research practice capable of generating new forms of dialogue between disciplines, institutions and publics — developing experimental approaches to exhibition-making, knowledge production and public engagement.
The organisation examines how archives, institutions, educational programmes and cultural infrastructures shape collective understanding and participation — and how these systems can be reimagined as more open, plural and participatory.
