02 — About
An independent cultural organisation dedicated to exploring the relationships between contemporary art, research and intelligent technologies.
Conceived as a platform for transdisciplinary collaboration, ALETIS brings together artists, curators, researchers, scientists and technologists to investigate how emerging technologies are reshaping culture, knowledge and society. Through exhibitions, public programmes, research initiatives and international partnerships, the organisation develops new frameworks for dialogue between artistic practice, scientific inquiry and technological innovation.
Operating across cultural production, critical research and public engagement, ALETIS supports projects that address the social, ethical and imaginative dimensions of technological transformation. Rather than treating technology as a purely technical domain, it approaches it as a cultural condition that influences perception, agency and collective life.
Based in Rome and working internationally, ALETIS is a Third Sector Entity (ETS) registered in the Italian National Register of Third Sector Entities (RUNTS). The association operates as a meeting ground for experimental practices, collaborative knowledge production and interdisciplinary exchange, creating opportunities for new forms of cultural and scientific cooperation.
A meeting ground for those who cross between disciplines.
Art · Science · Technology · Public culture
We believe the most urgent questions surrounding artificial intelligence and emerging technologies cannot be addressed by science, policy or culture alone.
They require spaces where different forms of knowledge can meet, challenge one another and evolve together. ALETIS seeks to cultivate such spaces, fostering collaborations that expand how we understand technology and its role within contemporary society.
